🤝 TU Dublin x Tallaght University Hospital

Over the last few months, I had a great time working with consultant nurses and doctors at Tallaght University Hospital, trying to design and build a tool that actually fits into day-to-day hospital life.

As part of the Transforming Healthcare Innovation Challenge, I focused on helping frontline staff quickly and accurately mark areas of the body for topical treatments (like creams and ointments) and get an estimate of how much is needed, based on the area, layers, and treatment type.

🧴 Key features:

  • Visual body mapping
  • Multi-layer treatment tracking
  • Custom cream definitions
  • Area-based dosage estimates
  • Percentage coverage reports

The goal was simple: cut down on waste, make things clearer, and avoid guesswork during busy shifts.

Huge Thanks

Of course, huge thanks to everyone involved, especially Marco, Adnaan, Fiachra, and Dr. Fernando Perez Tellez, and to the Tallaght University Hospital Foundation for backing student-led work like this.
